DHAKA, March 3, 2026 (BSS)- Only two Bangladesh players-- Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain-- have secured spots in the final list for The Hundred Auction 2026, set to take place at Piccadilly Lights in central London on March 11 and 12.

A total of 23 Bangladeshi players had registered for the draft, but apart from the duo, none made the shortlist. Those who missed out include Taskin Ahmed, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Liton Das, and Najmul Hossain Shanto, among others.

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur and leg-spinner Rishad, both of whom recently impressed in Australia's Big Bash League, are among more than 400 cricketers featured in the auction pool.

Mustafizur has been placed in the highest base-price bracket among the Bangladeshi players at £100,000 (pound) while Rishad carries the second-highest reserve price of £75,000.

No Bangladeshi cricketer has played in The Hundred since the tournament's inception in 2021.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed last month that nearly 1,000 players from 18 countries registered for the 2026 auction.

The tournament is scheduled to run from July 21 to August 16.
