DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - With the slogan 'In search of new talent' Bashundhara Kings BFSF Under-14 Academy Cup will kick off at Birshreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mustofa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur on April 29.

Twelve teams, split into four groups, will take part in the Bashundhara Kings BFSF Under-14 Academy Cup, which will be held under the auspices of the Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum (BFSF), with the overall support of the Bangladesh Football Federation and under the patronage of Bashundhara Kings.

The organizers originally started this competitive event for football academies scattered across the country.

Following the first event in 2019, this football event was also organized in 2020 and 2021. Although the event did not take place due to various reasons over the last few years, preparations have started again this time.

The 'Bashundhara Kings BFSF Under-14 Academy Cup' football competition was organized three times in 2019, 2020, and 2021. A total of thirty-six academies, twelve each, participated in the event in the last three years.

Holding the slogan 'Search for new talent', the Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum is organizing the event with an exceptional initiative to create a platform for grassroots football in the country and player development. If it can be held regularly on the field, then the tube for player development in the country will be enriched.

Likewise, football academies that operate throughout the year will have the opportunity to compete and showcase themselves through this event.
