17.7pc growth of remittance inflow till April 22

DHAKA, April 23, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 17.7 percent reaching US$2,417 million in the first 22 days of April, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $2,053 million.
 
During the July to April 22, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $28,626 million, which was $23,839 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
