NARAYANGANJ, Feb 19, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and four others 
injured in a road accident in Rupganj upazila of the district today.

The deceased were Arobhi Akhter, 32, and Khairul Bashar, 35.

The accident took place on the Purbachal road of the upazila this afternoon 
when a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from behind, leaving two CNG 
passengers dead on the spot and injuring four others, said Purbachal Police 
Camp Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam.

The injured were sent to Kurmitola General Hospital.

Police arrested Fakrul Islam, driver of the truck, and its helper Shahedul 
Islam.

A case was filed in this connection, the SI added.
