PIROJPUR, Feb 19, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man was killed in a road accident 
at Jhautala village of Shankarpasha union in Sadar upazila here today.

The deceased was Shahidul Hawlader, 75, a resident of Uttar Shankarpasha 
village of the upazila.

The accident took place around 11.30 am when a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit 
Shahidul while he was crossing the road, said Abdus Sobhan, Officer-in-Charge 
(OC) of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station.

Locals rescued him and took to Pirojpur Zila Hospital where the on-duty 
doctor declared him dead.
