THAKURGAON, Feb 19, 2025 (BSS) –The day-long 'Democracy Festival-2025' was celebrated in the district with the theme 'Bak Swadhinata Jekhane, Ganatantra Sekhane'.
Jubo Forum and Zila Nagorik Platform organized the festival at the Public Club ground in the district town.
Democracy Watch implemented the festival while the Switzerland government funded it.
In the inaugural session of the festival, a colourful rally started from the Public Club ground in the morning and paraded the important streets.
Superintendent of Police, Thakurgaon, Sheikh Jahidul Islam spoke as the chief guest in the inaugural event.
Deputy Director of Youth Development, Thakurgaon, Mansur Ali and District Election Officer Manjurul Islam were also present on the occasion.
