MADARIPUR, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - A touchstone idol of Lord Vishnu has been recovered from the Debraj village in madaripur Sadar upazila.
Being informed, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the idol weighing 19 kg from the house of Yakub Ali Sheikh of the village around 6pm on Wednesday, said Sadar Police Station Inspector Mahmudul Hasan.
Yakub Ali got the idol while digging his pond.
It will be handed over to the Department of Archaeology following legal procedure, he added.
