‘Young students of today will build a new Bangladesh'

RANGPUR, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) – To build a new Bangladesh in the spirit of the July Uprising by facing the highly competitive challenges of the 21st century, today's young students must acquire timely science and technology-based modern education. 

Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmud Hasan Mridha made this remarks today while speaking as the chief guest at the freshers' reception, cultural competition and prize distribution function of Gangachara Adarsha High School. 
 
The entire premises of the institution turned into a place of youth festival with the presence of the newly admitted and other students, teachers, guardians, government officials, civil society members and elite of the upazila town.  

Acting Headmaster of the institution Md Enamul Haque presided over the function. Senior Assistant Teachers Nirmal Chandra Sarkar and Abdul Mottalib Mithu moderated the entire daylong programme.

Gangachara Upazila Secondary Education Officer ASM Arif Mahfuz, Upazila Academic Supervisor Md Amjad Hossain Chowdhury, founder members Saju Ahmed Lal, Mofazzal Hossain, Ashraful Islam and Sharif Uddin addressed the function, as special guests.
 
Terming education as the backbone of a nation, the speakers said that there is no alternative to providing science and information communication technology-based modern education to the students to turn them into worthy citizens. 

Welcoming the newly admitted and other students of the school, the chief guest urged the students to focus on their studies to become worthy citizens and take on the responsibility of building a new Bangladesh in the future.
 
"Today's young students should raise themselves with patriotic zeal in line with the spirit of the Liberation War and the July Uprising to build a prosperous Bangladesh free from all discrimination, corruption and injustice," he said. 

Later, the chief guest with other guests distributed prizes among winners of different events of the cultural competitions.
