Monirul, Rafiq elected Laxmipur Bar's president, GS

LAXMIPUR, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party  (BNP) backed Md 
Monirul Islam Howlader and Md Rafiq Ullah have been elected as President and 
General Secretary (GS) respectively in the Laxmipur District Bar Association 
election.

Chief Election Commissioner Advocate Azgar Hossain declared the results of 
Laxmipur Bar election last night.

Out of 404 voters, 389 exercised their right to vote.

In the polls, pro-BNP lawyers secured nine out of 15 posts, including the 
president and general secretary.
 
Election Commissioners Advocate Mohsin Kabir Murad and Krishna Dulal Das were 
also present at the time.

Later, the elected president, general secretary and other pro-BNP winners 
exchanged views with BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury 
Annie.
