Man dies in Magura road accident

MAGURA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - A cyclist was killed as a trolley hit his 
bicycle at Chakulia village under Nahata union of Mohammadpur upazila in the 
district this morning. 

The deceased was identified as Tobarek Mollah, 48.

Victim's wife Soloka Begum said her husband was going to the field riding on 
his bicycle at around 7:30 am when a speedy trolley hit him in the area, 
leaving him critically injured.

With the help of locals, he was rushed to the Magura 250-bed Sadar Hospital 
where the duty doctors declared him dead, she added.

Mohammadpur Upazila Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Subir Roy confirmed.

The process of taking legal action in this connection is underway, he said, 
adding, "The body has been kept at the hospital's morgue and police seized 
the trolley."
