July uprising martyrs families in Pirojpur given grocery shops

PIROJPUR, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) – Five martyrs families of July-August uprising have got business opportunities as they have been given grocery shops aiming to make them economically solvent.  

Barishal divisional commissioner M Raihan Kauser handed over the keys of the shops to the martyr’s family members at a function held at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Saif Mizan Memorial Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner's office as the chief guest this noon. 

Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan presided over the event.

Barisal Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Md. Sohrab Hossain and Pirojpur Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police) Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman were present as special guests.

Student representatives of the anti-discrimination movement and officials from various government departments were present at the event.

Earlier at 11 am, Divisional Commissioner M Raihan Kauser inaugurated the Nutrition Olympiad organized by teenagers from various educational institutions at Pirojpur Government Boys High School.
