RANGPUR, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS) - The two-day Divisional Inter-institutional Annual Sports 
and Cultural Competitions- 2025 under the Department of Social Services was inaugurated at 
the Rangpur Stadium in the city today. 
 
Residents of 19 Government Shishu Paribars (Boys, Girls and Combined Vision-impaired) 
from all eight districts of Rangpur division participated in these sports and cultural 
competitions.
 
Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare Dr. Md. Mohiuddin inaugurated the annual sports 
and cultural competitions by releasing balloons and pigeons in a colorful function organised at 
the stadium as the chief guest. 
 
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Shahidul Islam presided over the function organized 
by the Rangpur Divisional Social Services Office.
 
Director General of the Department of Social Services Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Director of 
the Rangpur Divisional Social Services Department Most Zilufa Sultana and Rangpur Deputy 
Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal were present at the function as special guests. 
 
Government officials, deputy directors of the Department of Social Services of all eight 
districts of Rangpur division, participating resident students of the Shishu Paribars in the 
competitions and journalists were present at the event.
 
Later, the chief guest took salute of a colorful parade displayed by students of various 
institutions of Rangpur division under the Department of Social Services.
