Over 17,000 families in Sherpur to get VGF rice for Eid

SHERPUR, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - Over 17,000 underprivileged families living in Nakla upazila of the district will get Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) rice ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr so that they can celebrate the Eid in a festive way. 

As part of the programme, Pathakata Union Parishad chairman Abdus Salam inaugurated the rice distribution programme in front of Pathakata Union Parishad Complex today. 

He distributed rice to the beneficiaries of the union.

The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief allocated 1,70,240 kilograms of rice, ensuring that each of the 17,024 families across the Nakla upazila will get 10 kg of rice.
