NCRP fines 5 business establishments Taka 1.13-lakh in Rangpur

RANGPUR, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of National Consumer Rights 
Protection (NCRP) in separate drives fined five business establishments Taka 1.13-lakh in the Central Road to supermarket areas in the city today.
 
The Rangpur divisional and district Offices of the NCRP conducted the drives while 
conducting market surveillance campaigns and fined the business establishments for violating rules and regulations in the city.
 
During the drives, the NCRP fined Bhai Bhai Trading Taka 6,000, Safa Cloth Store and Janata Garments Taka 10,000 each, Zamzam Trading Taka 7,000 and Nishat Benarsi Taka 80,000. 
 
Assistant Director of the NCRP at its Rangpur divisional office Momtaz Begum, Assistant Director at its Rangpur district office Md. Mostafizur Rahman, District Food Safety Officer Md. Lokman Hossain, and others were present at the time. 
 
Talking to BSS, Deputy Director of the NCRP at its Rangpur divisional office Md. Jahangir Alam said that such drives will continue in the public interest.
