TANGAIL, April 24, 2025 (BSS) - A 55-year-old woman was killed in a road accident in the Tepibari area of Bhuapur upazila here in the district this morning.

The victim, identified as Ramesha Begum, wife of Abdul Quddus and a local resident, died on the spot when a stone-laden truck veered off the road and crashed into her home around 6:00 am.

The accident occurred on the Bhuapur-Tarakandi highway after the truck driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, said sub-inspector Ananta Das of Bhuapur Police Station.

Police arrested the driver, he said.
