Two Indian nationals arrested in Chuadanga

JHENAIDAH, April 24, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-58) in a drive arrested two Indian citizens from Chuadanga's Jibannagar border area under Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion.
 
A BGB special patrol team led by Subedar Md. Hafizur Rahman of Jibannagar BOP under Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion conducted the drive in the border area and arrested them from the road near Jibannagar Bus Stand, said a BGB press release this noon. 

The arrestees are Putul Das, 49, daughter of Harlal Das of Tilakchandrapur village of Kalinagar police station in South 24 Pargana, West Bengal and Taker Das, 25, son of Balai Das of the same village.

The detainees were trying to enter India after illegally staying in Bangladesh, the release said.
 
Officer-in-Charge of Maheshpur Police Station Faiz Uddin Mridha said that a case will be filed against the two detained Indian nationals and they will be produced before the court.
