BHOLA, April 25, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested three dacoits with firearms and ammunition from Madanpur Char in Doulatkhan upazila of the district.
The dacoits were identified as Alauddin, 45, Jahir Uddin Babar,48, and Lokman, 42, according to Bangladesh Coast Guard Bhola South Zone operation officer Lt Commander Rifat Ahmed.
He said based on secret information a team of coast guard base Bhola conducted operation at Madanpur Char inside the Meghna River in Doulatkhan upazila in the early hours of today and arrested them.
The team also recovered three locally manufactured firearms, four rounds of bullet and five pieces of fake Tk. 1000 note from their possessions, he added.
Legal procedure was underway against them.
