Two killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - Two motorcyclists were killed in separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway of the district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Farukh Uzzaman, 40, of Saltha area in Faridpur district and Alimul, 27, a resident of Kaunia area of Rangpur district. 

Motorbike rider Fakfrul died on the spot when an unidentified vehicle hit his bike from behind this morning in Nimtola Railway Station area of Sirajdikhan upazila of the district.

Meanwhile, bike rider Alimul was killed in a road accident in Hasara area of Srinagar upazila early this morning.

Police said the accident took place when a truck ran over a motorcycle in the area around 3 am, leaving its rider Alimul injured critically.

He was taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hasara Highway Police Station Abdul Quader Jilani confirmed the matters. Police handed over the bodies to their respective family members, he added.
