PATUAKHALI, April 26, 2025 (BSS) - A seven-year old child was killed after
being hit by a microbus in front of the Pakhimara Water Museum on the
Kalapara-Kuakata highway in the district today.

The deceased was Ibrahim alias Jaber, 7, son of Afzal Hawlader, a resident of
Huichanpara village adjacent to Kuakata, a town of Patuakhali district.

Police said the accident occurred when a tourist microbus ran over the child
in the area at 1.30 pm as he was standing beside the road with his
grandfather, leaving him critically injured.

The child was taken to Kalapara Upazila Hospital where the on-duty doctors
declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalapara Police Station Mohammad Jewel Islam
confirmed the matter.
