SATKHIRA, April 26, 2025 (BSS)- Police in a drive arrested two individuals
with 280 liters of adulterated milk along with various chemicals from Shibpur
village under Tala upazila of the district last night.

The arrested were identified as Sohag Ghosh, 27, son of late Asim Ghosh from
Chandipur village in Dumuria upazila of Khulna district and Md. Sirajul
Islam, 40, son of Abdur Rahman Sheikh of Shibpur village in Tala upazila.

On a tip-off, a team of the Tala police conducted a raid in one Sirajul
Islam's house under Shibpur village of the upazila and nabbed the duo with
280 liters of adulterated milk, police said.

The team was informed by locals that a dishonest business syndicate who was
involved in producing and supplying adulterated milk to various
establishments and markets from Sirajul's house, they added.

Along with the adulterated milk, police recovered chemical powder used to
manufacture fake milk, soybean oil, a blender machine, seven drums, a motor-
run van and a 100cc Platina motorcycle from the spot.

A case has been filed against the arrested persons under the relevant
sections, and they have been sent to court, said Sheikh Shahinur Rahman,
officer-in-charge (OC) of Tala Police Station.
