RANGPUR, April 28, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an abductor and rescued a kidnapped teenage girl of Nilphamari district from Madhukhola area under Shreepur police station of Gazipur district on Sunday night. 
 
"The arrested abductor is Shaon alias Aziul, 28, son of Md. Budu Mia of Purbo Belpukur (Sutarpara) village under Saidpur police station of Nilphamari," said a press release issued here today. 
 
Earlier, the detainee with his accomplices forcibly kidnapped the victim girl of the same area from Purbo Belpukur Mouza under Saidpur Police Station of Nilphamari district at around 08:30 am on March 28, 2025.
 
Consequently, the victim's father filed an abduction case in this connection with Saidpur police station on last April 4.
 
On a tip-off, the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 of RAB-13's Nilphamari camp and RAB-1's Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) at Gazipur camp in a joint raid arrested accused Shaon from the Madhukhola area and rescued the victim at 8:00 pm.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested accused along with the victim to Saidpur police station, the release added.
