KHULNA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - Police today arrested an ex-female councilor for KCC's Ward no - 29, 30 and 31 women reserved seats, from the Khulna Circuit House area.

Acting on a tip-off, the Detective Branch of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested Roksana Kalam Lili this afternoon in a case filed with Labonchara police station, Khondokar Hossain Ahmmad, assistant commissioner (Media) of KMP, confirmed.

According to the case, ex-councilor Roksana Kalam Lili, 50, wife of late Abul Kalam, resident of the Labanchara area, was involved in criminal activities during the July-August, 24 Anti-Discrimination Students Movement.

She would be produced before the court with a remand prayer, he added.
