Two siblings to die for killing in Khulna

KHULNA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) - A Khulna court today sentenced two siblings to death for killing a man in the city's Daulatpur area four years ago.

Sumi Ahmed, Judge of the Metropolitan Sessions Court, pronounced the verdict in the presence of the convicts.

According to the prosecution, police recovered the decomposed body of Abdur Rashid Dhali, a resident of the Daulatpur area, from the Teligati Bypass Highway under Arongghata Police Station on the night of October 22, 2021.

On October 24, Farzana Begum, wife of the deceased, filed a case with Arongghata Police Station.

During the investigation, police found that the deceased's son-in-law, Md Sheikh Rashed, and his younger brother had killed Rashid Dhali over a family feud and dumped the body beside the Teligati Bypass Highway.

Later, police submitted a charge sheet against the two siblings.
