JHENAIDAH, May 14, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed and another injured as a pickup van hit their bike on the Ulya-Kola road in Kaliganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Fazlu Khan, 60, son of Lokman Khan of Natopara village of the upazila.

The accident took place around 11.30am in Dighi Par area when a pickup van coming from opposite direction hit a motorcycle, leaving its rider Fazlu Khan dead on the spot and injured another, confirmed Shahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station.

Later, the injured was taken to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.
