GAZIPUR, May 14, 2025 (BSS) - A female garment worker was killed after being hit by a speeding bus at Konabari area in Gazipur this morning.

The deceased was identified as Ruby Akhter, 24, wife of Ziarul, hailing from Sonakhali area under Trishal upazila in Mymensingh district.

According to Kamrul Hasan, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Konabari Police Station, the victim died on the spot after being hit by a speeding bus while she was standing beside the road in the Baimail area near the eastern side of the Konabari flyover on the Dhaka-Tangail highway.

Police later recovered the body and sent it to the morgue at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
