GAIBANDHA, MAY 15, 2025 (BSS) - Three persons were electrocuted at Paschim Kamalerpara village under Saghata upazila in the district this afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mosarrof Hossain, son of Akram Ali, Milon Miah, son of Mokbul Hossain, and Yakub Ali, son of Saheb Ali of the village.

Milon Miah came in contact with a live electric wire when he was cleaning corrugated iron sheet on rooftop. Hearing his hue and cry, Yakub and Mosarrof came to help him and they also got electrocuted.

Later, they were taken to upazila health complex where on duty doctors declared them dead.

Officer-in-charge of Saghata Thana Badsha Alom confirmed the incident saying that an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
