Lightning strike kills farmer in Kishoregonj

KISHOREGANJ, May 16, 2025 (BSS) - A farmer was killed in a lightning strike 
at Itna upazila of the district today.

The deceased Nirodh Das, 55, was son of late Bisnu Doyal Das of Doilong 
Noyahati village under Dhonpur union of Itna upazila of the district. 

Nirodh Das was struck by thunderbolt while he was working in a paddy field at 
2 pm. 

Acting officer-in-charge (OC) of Itna Police Station Jafar Iqbal confirmed 
the death incident.
