SAVAR, May 23, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) during a drive on Thursday demolishes illegal structures of unauthorized 'Relic Housing Company' at Birulia in Savar.

The operation, led by RAJUK Deputy Director (Estate and Land)-3 and Executive Magistrate M. Liton Sarker, revealed that the company had been unlawfully conducting housing development activities without any official approval from RAJUK.

The court fined Sabbir Hossain, director of the company, Taka 10 lakh for operating the unauthorized housing business and a one-month imprisonment if unrealized.

According to RAJUK officials, the company has been deceitfully selling plots by displaying an unauthorized layout plan of a mega housing project covering nearly 2,700 acres (approximately 8,251 bighas) of land.

However, the company could only present legal ownership documents for just 10 bighas of land. Despite receiving a legal notice from RAJUK, the company failed to respond or provide valid documentation for the remaining land it claimed to own.

During the raid, RAJUK officials dismantled the company's billboards, shut down its illegal office and disconnected its electricity and water connections.

A regular case has been filed against the housing company for fraudulent activities related to illegal real estate development.
