Woman killed in Jhenaidah road accident

JHENAIDAH, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - A woman was killed in a tragic road accident at Gabla village under Shailkupa upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Shahina Khatun, 45, wife of Ashraful Islam, a resident of Arappur area of the district town.

The accident occurred on the Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway when a truck ran over the woman. She died on the spot, said Masum Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Shailkupa Police Station.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
