Bagerhat Chhatra Dal observes Ziaur Rahman's martyrdom anniversary

BAGERHAT, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - District unit of Chhatra Dal today planted tree saplings to mark the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

The student wing of BNP planted fruit-bearing and forest saplings on the island at Nur Mosque intersection in the district town under the slogan "Green and Clean City."

Engineer ATM Akram Hossain Talim, convener of the  district unit of BNP, inaugurated the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Talim said the contribution of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman to the restoration of democracy will be remembered forever. "To honour his memory, we have taken this initiative to promote a green and clean environment," he said.

Abdul Asad, a local teacher, said student politics now requires a more constructive approach. This initiative by Chhatra Dal is undoubtedly commendable.
