CHATTOGRAM, May 31, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths were killed and two others injured in a collision between a CNG-run microbus and an auto-rickshaw in the Mazar Gate area on PAB Road under Anwara upazila of the district this morning.
Amin Uddin, an eyewitness, said the microbus was heading towards Banshkhali when it collided head-on with a city-bound auto-rickshaw from Chambol in Banshkhali around 8:30 am. The impact crushed the auto-rickshaw, killing two of its passengers on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Anwara Police Station Md Monir Hossain confirmed the incident. He said both the deceased were men aged between 30 and 35, but their identities could not be confirmed immediately.
The bodies were sent to the hospital for autopsy. The injured were rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.
