One killed in Natore road accident

NATORE, June 05, 2025 (BSS) - A person was killed and another injured in a road accident in Gunahati area of Baraigram upazila of the district today.

The deceased was covered van driver Jewel Mondol, 24, son of Azahar Ali Mondol of Shibpur village of Bogura district.

Police said the accident occurred when a rice-laden truck collided head-on with a mini covered van in the area, leaving covered van driver Jewel dead on the spot. Another person named Jalal Molla was injured in the incident.

Police seized the two vehicles from the spot. But, the truck driver and its helper managed to flee away.

Legal action has been taken in this connection.
