July martyred families get Eid gifts in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, June 5, 2025 (BSS) - The district administration of Netrakona at a function at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) today handed over Eid gifts to 17 July martyred families ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

DC Banani Biswas handed over the gifts from July Smrity Foundation and the district administration. 

In her speech, DC Banani Biswas said, “There is no end of our gratitude to the martyred people who sacrificed their lives in last year’s July uprising to make the country free from autocracy”.

“Those who lost their near and dear ones during July uprising, only they can realize the pain and sufferings of losing such people,” she said, adding, “We as the servant of the public will be with you need”.

Moderated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukhamay Sarkar, the function was addressed, among others, by the members of the martyred families, Joint Secretary of district BNP SM Moniruzzaman Dudu, central organizer of National Citizen Party Pritom Sohag, its central member Fahim Rahman Kahn Pathan, NCP district leaders Rafiqul Islam Shuvo and Farjana Khanom Rubi, district convener of July Warriors’ Tofail Ahmed, member secretary of anti-discrimination students’ movement Ashraful Alam Apurba and its joint member secretary Nafiur Rahman Khan Pathan.
