JHENAIDAH, June 5, 2025 (BSS) – The joint forces comprising police and military personnel arrested a man with a firearm alongside ammunitions and some lethal weapons in predawn raid today at village in this western district, police said.

Jhenaidah police said the raid was carried out on the basis of a tip-off Goyeshpur village in Mohespur upazila.

“The man arrested is Jewel Rana, son of Jashim Uddin . . . a foreign made revolver with two bullets, some locally-made weapons and three mobile phones were seized from his possession,” officer-in-charge of Moheshpur police station Saiful Islam said.

He said the subsequent legal process was underway to expose the man to justice.
