GAIBANDHA, June 5, 2025 (BSS)-A total of 500 distressed people of Gaibandha town and its surrounding areas got various food items from Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) today on Eid occasion. 

GCCI arranged a food  distribution ceremony for the distressed people on Eid-ul- Azha, the biggest religious festival for the Muslims to help them celebrate the festival peacefully. 

A function was held on the ground of Zila stadium in the town this morning with Sameul Sumel, president of GCCI, in the chair. 

President of BNP, district unit, Professor Dr. Mainul Hasan Sadik formally distributed the food materials   as the chief guest. 

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Mainul Hasan Sadik   thanked the authority of GCCI for standing beside the distressed people with food materials to help them celebrate forthcoming Eid –ul-Azha peacefully. 

Directors of GCCI were also present in the event . 

Each of the beneficiaries received a sack containing flour, sugar, pulse, rice for polao and soybean oil.
