Police seizes huge Indian sarees in Netrokona

NETROKONA, June 5, 2025 (BSS) - Police seized huge Indian sarees worth about Taka 50 lakh from Noihati Bazar in Chiram union of Barhatta upazila of the district in the early hours of today.

Locals of Noihati Bazar stopped a truck loaded with sarees in the area and called the police. Police said the seized sarees were imported from India illegally.

Later, police seized the truck from the spot.

However, the driver and helper of the truck managed to escape.
