Rawhide collectors to get free salt in Manikgonj for Eid-ul-Azha

MANIKGANJ, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - The government has distributed salt free of cost for the first time among the seasonal rawhide collector representatives, madrasas, and orphanages in Manikgonj to process rawhide during Eid-ul-Azha.
 
As a part of the initiative, Manikganj Sadar Upazila authority completed the distribution of 15 metric tonnes and 25 kgs of salt among 36 madrasas and orphanages to preserve the rawhides. 
 
Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Manikganj Sadar upazila Md. Alinur said that the salt distribution has been already completed among the listed madrasas and orphanages. He added that this is the first-time initiative of the government to assist rawhide collectors in preserving collected rawhide.
