RANGPUR, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - The city's main Eid-ul-Azha jamaat (congregation) will be held at Rangpur Collectorate Eidgah at 8:00am tomorrow.

Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque Khatib Hafiz Kwari Maulana Md Bayezid Hussaine will lead the jamaat, deliver khutba and conduct special munajats.
 
If case of hostile weather, the main jamaat will shift at the District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center at 8:00am followed by a second jamaat there at 9:00am.

However, the first Eid-ul-Azha jamaat will be held at Rangpur Police Lines ground at 7:00 am in the city. 
 
Besides, Eid-ul-Azha congregations will be arranged at Eidgahs, mosques and open grounds in the city and across the district.
  
Improved diets will be served to inmates in hospitals, orphanages, jails, vagrant centres and Shishu Paribars to mark the occasion.
 
Rangpur City Corporation has decorated the main streets with national and various colourful flags and banners bearing inscriptions 'Eid Mubarak'.

Law enforcers have also tightened security to ensure peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.
