JHENAIDAH, June 6, 2025 (BSS) - Two persons, including a child, were killed in two separate road accidents at Sadar and Kotchandpur upazilas of the district today.

The deceased were Adnan, 10, son of Shimul Hossain, of Kanchanpur village in Sadar upazila and Kajal Hossain, 18, son of Jalal Uddin of Marutia village of Kotchandpur upazila.

The first accident occurred as a bike rider Kajal lost control over the steering and hit a roadside tree at Baharampur village, leaving Kajal dead on the spot and injured co-bike rider Obhi Ahmed critically.

Locals rescued Obhi and sent him to local health complex.

In another accident, Adnan was killed when a vehicle hit him in Udaypur Kolahat area. 

Police confirmed the incidents.
