GOPALGANJ, June 26, 2025 (BSS) – A father and his daughter were killed in a road accident in Old Muksudpur area under Muksudpur upazila of the district today.
The deceased were Syed Jamal Uddin, 70, and his daughter Rahima Begum, 30, of Kadmi village under Boalmari upazila of Faridpur district.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at noon when a sand-laden truck hit them while they were standing beside the road after getting off a bus, said Shital Chandra Pal, Inspector of Muksudpur Police Station.
Rahima Begum died on the spot, while critically injured Syed Jamal Uddin succumbed to his injuries at Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex.
