Central City Hospital, Chattogram shut down

DHAKA, June 26, 2025(BSS)-The Central City Hospital and Diagnostic Centre at Probortok intersection near OR Nizam Road in Chattogram city has been shut down today as it failed to fulfil the terms and conditions  of the respective authority.

Civil Surgeon of Chattogram and member secretary of the committee to inspect non-government hospitals, clinics, pathological laboratories and blood transfusion centres, district unit Dr Jahangir Alam instructed the authority of the hospital to close of its all activities.

The Civil Surgeon and district unit committee member secretary in a letter served to the Managing Director of the city hospital Dr Md Rezaul Karim gave the instruction for the sake of public interests.

The committee earlier permitted the hospital authority to run it abiding by some conditions in three separate memorandums but the hospital authority failed to supply required documents to the committee and as well as to renew the license of the hospital within the stipulated time.
