Farmers in Narsingdi receive Aman seeds

NARSINGDI, June 26, 2025 (BSS) - As part of agricultural rehabilitation assistance under 2024-25 fiscal year, free seeds and fertilizers were distributed to marginal farmers for boosting cultivation and production of transplanted Aman paddy during the Kharif-2 season in Belabo upazila of the district.

The distribution ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon at the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) office, jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) of Belabo.

A total of 1,050 farmers received 5 kilograms of Aman paddy seeds, 10 kilograms of DAP fertilizer, and 10 kilograms of Muriate of Potash (MoP) each under the programme.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Muhibur Rahman Siddique presided over the event, while Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Abdul Karim attended it as the chief guest.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Al Amin Haldar, Agricultural Extension Officer Md Mahbub Alam Lelin, Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officers Md Jamal Uddin and Manik Saha were also present.
