RAJSHAHI, June 27, 2025 (BSS) -Police in an anti-crime drive arrested an alleged drug peddler with 500 grams of heroin from Godagari upazila of the district early today.
The arrestee was identified as Nazimul Hossain, 37, son of Ataur Rahman, a resident of Diar Manikchalk village under the same upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested Nazimul with the contraband heroin from his possession around 3:30am, Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiqul Islam told this afternoon.
A case was filed with Godagari Police Station in this connection.
Later, the arrested person was produced before a court, he added.
