CHATTOGRAM, June 27, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested life term imprisonment convicted fugitive of the Fatikchari thana murder case from the Kumira area under Sitakundu upazila on Friday morning after 33 years. 

A RAB press release said the arrested individual Nasirul Islam, 52, son of the late Ahmed Hossain hailed from the east Bhujpur area of Fatikchari thana in a murder case from the same area 33 years ago.

The accused Nasirul Islam left the area after being charged and went into hiding.

Later, a Chattogram court sentenced Nasirul Islam to life term imprisonment and fined him Taka 50 thousand in default he will serve an additional six months of rigorous imprisonment. 

He was handed over to the respective police station for further legal action.
