PATUAKHALI, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - A fisherman died after being electrocuted in Gandamari village under Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district early this morning.

The deceased was Rahim Talukder, 24, son of Rahman Talukder, a resident of the same village.

Sub-Inspector of Kalapara Police Station Shah Alam said as Rahim was returning home after fishing in river at midnight, he got into an auto-rickshaw standing on the side of the road due to rain. The auto-rickshaw was being charged, but he did not notice it. He died inside the auto-rickshaw, after being electrocuted.
