One held with 32.2-kg ganja in Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, June 28, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a 
presumed drug trader with 32.2 kilograms (kgs) of ganja from Sadar Police 
Station area under Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Friday evening.
 
The arrested was identified as Md Mukta, 42, son of Kandura Mahmud of Sonai 
Kazi village under Phulbari Police Station of Kurigram district.

An operational team of Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) under RAB-
13 conducted a raid in the area and arrested Mukta at 6:15 pm, said a press 
release issued here this afternoon.

The RAB team also recovered 32.2-kg of ganja and seized a Toyota private car 
from his possession. 
 
"The elite force handed over the arrested person with the seized goods to 
Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station for further legal action," the release 
added.
