PATUAKALI, June 29, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested seven people on charges 
of robbery, drugs and illegal use of nets in separate drives from Bauphal 
upazila of the district. 

The accused were produced before the court from Bauphal Police Station on 
Sunday afternoon. 

Police arrested Sajib Hossain, 23, and Sifat Hossain, 24, on charges of 
robbery from Singhera Kathi area under Kalishuri union of the upazila on 
Saturday night. 

They are involved in the robbery that took place at Keshab Doctor's house in 
Baherchar area of Kachipa union on May 24. 

In addition, Raihan and Shakib Gazi were arrested from the Puru Shar area on 
charges of taking drugs and Rubel Hossain, who is the accused in a drug case, 
was arrested from the same area last night.

On the other hand, two more people have been arrested and produced them 
before the court today for fishing with banned current nets.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bauphal Police Station Akhtaruzzaman Sarkar said, 
"The arrested were produced before the court in separate cases. This drive 
has been conducted as part of the regular police drive."
