DHAKA, June 29, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested three terrorists from Ghop Nowapara area of Jashore district in the early hours of today.

The arrestees were Bappi alias Md Ali, Abu Khalid Saifullah alias Boma Ripon and Md Kamrul Hasan. They fired on DB police on June 19 in city's Fakirapol area.

Police also recovered three foreign-made pistols, six magazines and 151 rounds of bullets from their possessions, said a press release, signed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DB police arrested Abdur Rahman with 1,000 pieces of yaba tablets from DIT Extension Road of Fakirapol on June 18. 

According to information of Abdur Rahman, the DB police chased a private car in Fakirapol area on June 19. But the terrorists fired on police and left the scene.

Three DB men were shot in the incident.

Legal action was in this regard.
