DINAJPUR, June 30, 2025 (BSS) – Export and import operations at Hili land port (HLP) resumed today following the withdrawal of the complete shutdown.

President of HLP exporters and importers Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi today confirmed the resumption of operations, saying all port activities, including the movement of imported and exported goods, resumed from 12:00pm following the suspension of the shutdown programme by the NBR Sanskar Oikya Parishad.

Echoing Sakhawat, HLP Revenue Officer Md. Nazim Uddin confirmed that operations have resumed. He said the port officials had observed a two-day strike in accordance with the complete shutdown declared by the NBR Sanskar Oikya Parishad, which had led to a suspension of all port activities and a halt in the entry of Indian cargo trucks.

Nazim added that on the evening of Sunday, NBR Sanskar Oikya Parishad officially announced the withdrawal of the shutdown and all officials resumed duties from 12:00pm today (Monday). “All operations at the port, including the import and export of goods, have restarted,” he added.

The HLP functions were completely paralyzed due to the full-scale strike by Hili Customs officials and employees in last two days.
