One killed in Rangamati road crash

RANGAMATI, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and another seriously injured in a road accident in Jamtala area under ??Rajasthali upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Md. Hanif Mia, 58, a fish trader and son of late Ali Ahmed of Maryam Nagar Paraspara village of Rangunia upazila in Chattogram district.

The accident took place around 10 am when a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on with a police vehicle, leaving two rickshaw passengers injured, said Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge of Rajasthali Police Station. 

The injured were taken to Chandraghona Christian Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared Hanif dead.
